The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University,
Ile Ife has appointed Professor Ayobami Taofeek Salami as the new vice
chancellor of the institution.
A Professor of Ecology and Environmental studies, Ayo Salami was the immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the OAU .
He was the Director of Ecology and Environmental studies at
OAU. An OAU alumni Ayo Salami graduated with a B.Sc degree 2nd Class
Upper division from (then) University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo
University, Ile-Ife) in 1986 before he bagging an M.Sc degree from same
institution in 1989 .
