HOW TO VIEW SAVED WIFI PASSWORD ON YOUR PC

There might be lot of reasons why you may need to know the WiFi Password for a network you are currently connected to or the previous ones you have connected in the past. It may be from a  friend of yours that do share you Hotpots connections but never tell you his/her password or Specific Public WiFi which was secure but a friend of yours know the password and only type it to your system but refuse to tell you.

However, We have already seen how to uncover the secret on Android and iOS and today we would see how to get that done on a Windows computer. Just make sure that you have the admin access to the computer.

This trick was tested on Windows 8 OS but it also works on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. So, Lets get started.

STEP 1: Let assume  you are connected to the network, right click on the WiFi icon on the Windows System Tray and click on Open the network and Sharing center.

STEP 2: Once the Network and Sharing Center opens up, You will see list of  all the networks your computer is currently connected to under the Active Network category.  tap the Connections: “WiFi Name” your computer is connected to and it will open the WiFi Status Window. Just like the screenshot below.

STEP 3: Now, Click on Wireless Properties in the Wi-Fi Status window. The page will show you the connection name/type and click on the Security tab

The Network Security Key option will have the Wi-Fi password and you will have to tick the option Show characters in other to  make the pa$$word visible. NOTE: You are not to change any properties in here, In other not to might mess up with the connection.
